Lotteries

Is it just me? Or am I misunderstanding the meaning of why the lottery was created in the first place. I understood that it was to help improve our school system, and yet our schools today are in the same mess they were when the lottery was created. Where are all these millions of dollars really going when our teachers are under-paid, under-staffed, and under equipped to handle the work load they face every day? Our schools are decaying, repairs are being ignored or sidelined, school equipment (textbooks, pencils, writing tablets, computers,) is ignored. It is about time that we as parents and grandparents stand up and demand what is right for our kids!! It is right that they should be allowed to learn in a risk free, non-violent, and I MUST say gun free environment!! Our children should not be afraid to go to school! If the adults, legislators, and whomsoever cannot figure out how to fix these problems, then we as parents need to stand up for our kids! Tell your city council person, your county and state administrators that we want our children safe and learning!!
